Dial Mode Selector
At IUPUI, your office telephone should always be set in the Tone position. If your telephone is not set to Tone, long distance authorization codes, voice mail retrieval codes, and the * and # symbols will not work.
Most telephone models
On most telephone models, move the Dialing Mode Selector switch to Tone.
ATT 925 Speakerphone
The ATT 925 Speakerphone comes set in the touch-tone mode. Should it be inadvertently changed to dial pulse, you can change the touch-tone service by lifting the handset and pressing Program###8. When you hang up the handset, the dial mode selection will take effect.
