Oracle instructional environment

UITS maintains an Oracle server named oed1 on a Linux machine for instruction involving Oracle. We provide accounts on our Oracle server for classes (as possible), and we provide the Oracle client software in the IUB Student Technology Centers (STCs), configured to connect to our server. UITS also provides Oracle client software on the Unix Quarry nodes. To non-IUB campuses, UITS can supply computer support personnel and instructors with the Oracle client software for installation.     Academic departments at any IU campus can license the entire suite of Oracle products for instructional use for an annual $500 fee through the Oracle Academy. (Check Oracle's site for current pricing; pricing reflected here might not be accurate. Products acquired through the Oracle Academy agreement can be used only for instruction. UITS does not provide support for Oracle products obtained via the Oracle Academy.)
